Lord of the manor house

Don't you just love a Tudor-style home? Well this European Manor will open its doors to visitors during the second annual Loomis Basin Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This lovely abode will be one of five on the tour. Come see a palacious Traditional Estate Home in Granite Bay, a Modern Ranch Home, also in Granite Bay, a sprawling Mediterranean Villa in Loomis and the 100-year-old Red Horse Barn and its Craftsman-style Farmhouse which is home to the Newcastle Wedding Gardens.

Wedding receptions and events are normally held in the barn, but on Home Tour Day it will turn into a lovely spot to listen to music, purchase refreshments and enjoy a pre-purchase lunch.

The gourment box lunch will include a freshly baked croissant filled with smoked turkey & almond salad with sundried cranberries, a sweet, locally-grown Mandarin and a large homemade cookie.

On tour day tickets will be available at will call located at Blue Goose Produce.

For more information and online ticket orders visit the Loomis Basin Education Foundation Web site at www.lbef.net.

Proceeds from the tour benefit the children in the seven Loomis School District Schools through the Loomis Basin Education Foundation.
