This musical takes place in the 1930's and is based on the film The Shop Around the Corner (also the premise for You've Got Mail). This is the classic tale of a couple who feud in real life, but unknowingly become pen pals and fall in love. It is the rare musical theatre aficionado who doesn't have a soft spot in his heart for this intimate show, considered by many the most charming musical ever written. Funny, intelligent, honest and sentimental, "She Loves Me" is a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old world elegance and nostalgia, yet as universal and relevant as ever in this age of internet romances.
