Eureka Attack U16 Girls win Napa Valley Wine Country Classic and Elk Grove Sunstroke Classic
The Eureka Attack gained momentum heading into Fall league play by winning the Gold Medal at two recent tournaments. The Attack advanced to the championship at the Elk Grove Sunstroke Classic with a 2-0-1 record and captured the Gold with 2-1 victory over the Land Park Dragonflies.
At the Napa Wine Country Classic the Attack marched through group play with 3 shutout wins. In the championship game against Santa Clara, the Attack tied the scored 1-1 with 4:20 left to force overtime. They then put the Golden Goal in the net with 12 seconds remaining in extra time to take the gold medal.
