Do you like Rocks & Minerals? Have an interest in Geology? Are you a Rock-Hound? Do you like Earth Sciences? Interested in taking up a new hobby? We are a nonprofit Gem and Mineral Society, and hold a monthly Educational meeting on the Roseville Fairgrounds, for Adults and Children, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 7:00PM in the Garden Room. This meeting is free and open to anyone, offering a different educational topic each month. We also offer "Rookie Rock Rollers" a special kids educational meeting prior to the monthly meeting, where kids can learn about rocks, fossils, geology and earn merit badges while having educational fun! Please visit us on the web at www.rockrollers.com Also, if you have an interest in jewelry fabrication we have a Lapidary shop on site where we offer classes on cutting and polishing of stones (cabochons), with specialty classes on beading, wire-wrapping, gem carving and more. Please take a moment and explore something new, meet new people interested in activities outdoors (field trips) for families, kids, adults and seniors, as well as ongoing education in Earth Sciences. Each March we host a Gem and Mineral Show, 2009 will make the 47th year. Please visit our website for more information.
